OrtBell – Who are we? What do we do?

Ortbell is a family business, the result of 3 generations producing and innovating in
the agri – food sector.

In 1912, the agricultural activity was started in the family by Antonio Ortiz Mayoral,
followed by the second generation with Antonio Ortiz Gilart and the third
generation founder of Ortbell and current manager Josep Antoni Ortiz Roure.

Ortbell was born with a firm commitment to the production and marketing of top quality fresh fruit under the brand Simpatía®. Over time, we have evolved to expand our services in the agri – food sector and tourism. This is how Viveros Ortbell ®, Rosco Fruits®, Honey Figs®, Music Oil® and Castell Palau were born, brands that reflect our diversification and ability to offer solutions in sectors as varied as food, tourism and other industries. Today, we adapt to the changing needs of the market to provide innovative and sustainable products and services that respond to the trust of our customers and our commitment to quality and freshness.

This transformation has allowed us to expand our experience and offer new opportunities to our customers and collaborators, with the same dedication that characterized us in our beginnings

Honey Figs ®

Honey figs is the name we have registered for a new variety of fig, of which we are breeders. We are currently working to create a Club as well, which will be the first Club dedicated exclusively to figs worldwide

Nurseries Ortbell

We produce fig plants of the Coll
de Dama black & green variety and Toro Sentado, with an annual capacity of + 40,000 plants

Rosco Fruits ®

Fresh Cut. A highly innovative product that is an alternative to industrial pastries. Freeze-dried apples (a system developed by Ortbell) coated with two types of chocolate. We also offer a line of infusions made with leftover apple skin.

Music Oil ®

Music Oil is the trademark of our olive oil with soul. First-pressed, organic green olive oil from olive trees that grow with music. Produced in Torrebesses, Lleida.

Castell Palau Torrebesses

A castle located in Torrebesses, with over 1,000 years of history and listed as a national heritage site. We currently offer accommodation as a rural house where you can enjoy the culture and heritage surrounding the town.
